Wonder, Care, Act Alumni Award

The Falk Laboratory School Wonder, Care, Act Alumni Award is presented annually to an alum who demonstrates extraordinary curiosity, service and leadership.

“Wonder, Care, Act” is a succinct set of principles that captures Falk’s foundational values of curiosity and community. Established during the 2017–2018 school year, the phrase communicates Falk’s philosophy in a way that everyone—from childhood through adulthood—can understand.

💡 To wonder is to engage with the world around us, identifying opportunities for improvement.

💙 To care is to show concern for our community, whether it’s within the school walls, among family and friends or beyond.

🏃‍♀️ To act is to put a plan into action.

Eligibility

Anyone who attended Falk for at least three years is eligible for nomination. Nominees need not have graduated from Falk to be considered. Self-nominations are welcome and encouraged.

Selection Process

Each spring, nominees are evaluated on their professional achievement, public service, and support for the Falk Laboratory School mission. An awardee is selected by Falk’s director and administration and announced to the community in May. The recipient will also be invited to share a message with Falk’s graduating class (either by video, letter, or in person) at the eighth-grade graduation ceremony in June.
